Hudson Place Residences Location Highlights
Hudson Place Residences sits at 18-20 Media Circle in District 5, on the line where one-north meets Queenstown. one-north MRT is about 4 minutes away by bicycle, and Buona Vista MRT, an interchange with the Circle Line, is one stop further. The Ayer Rajah Expressway is a 2-minute drive, putting the CBD and Orchard Road within roughly 10 minutes.
The address is unusual because it faces two very different neighbourhoods at once. Mediacorp’s Mediapolis campus is a 3-minute walk away. In the other direction are the heritage black-and-white bungalows of Wessex Estate and the green spine of the Rail Corridor. The site itself falls within the Queenstown planning area, so it is a mature estate address that happens to look straight onto Singapore’s innovation district. Full project particulars are on the Hudson Place Residences Project Info page.

The Resident Shuttle Runs to one-north and Buona Vista MRT
Hudson Place Residences comes with a complimentary resident shuttle service to one-north MRT and Buona Vista MRT, free for the first year of occupation and subject to authority approval. The run to one-north MRT takes about 3 minutes by road.
Two other shuttle services already operate in the immediate area and are open to their own users rather than to Hudson Place residents. The Alice @ Mediapolis shuttle serves one-north and Buona Vista MRT daily, adding stops at Timbre+, The Star Vista, Ghim Moh Food Centre, Holland Drive Food Centre and Tanglin Halt on different days. Infinite Studios runs its own shuttle to one-north MRT.
one-north Is a Designated Car-Lite District
one-north is planned as a car-lite district, which shapes how people actually move around it. Most journeys within the precinct are made on foot, by bicycle or by shuttle rather than by car, and the walking and cycling network is built to carry that load. Hudson Place Residences includes bicycle parking and a bicycle service station on site, which is why most of the distances on this page are quoted in cycling minutes rather than driving ones.
Where one-north Meets Queenstown
Hudson Place Residences occupies Media Circle Parcel A, at the point where two neighbourhoods with very little in common meet. Queenstown is one of Singapore’s oldest housing estates and brings the settled character that comes with it: hawker centres, neighbourhood shops and a long-established community. one-north, on the other side, is a 230-hectare live, work, play and learn district built around research, media and enterprise, and now anchored further by Kampong AI, Singapore’s first dedicated artificial intelligence hub.
Most addresses sit clearly in one kind of neighbourhood or the other. This one does not, which is the single most distinctive thing about it.
Business and Technology Hubs at one-north
one-north is home to more than 500 global companies and an estimated 50,000 knowledge workers, across biotech, media, research and, increasingly, artificial intelligence.
Mediacorp’s Mediapolis campus is a 3-minute walk from the development. Razer’s headquarters at Fusionopolis is a 3-minute cycle, Grab’s one-north headquarters sits nearby, and P&G’s Biopolis campus is about 4 minutes by bicycle. The Metropolis is 5 minutes by bicycle and Singapore Science Park I and II a further 6-minute drive. For anyone working across these campuses, living inside the district removes the commute rather than shortening it.

Shopping, Dining and Everyday Amenities
Daily convenience starts at ground level. Hudson Plaza and the adjoining Bloomsbury Shoppes put retail and dining a minute’s walk from the lift lobby, with Under der Linden on Portsdown Road a minute away and Cafe Colbar at Wessex about 2 minutes on foot.
The wider cluster of one-north eating places is within a short cycle. Timbre+ at Ayer Rajah Crescent and Galaxis Retail are both 4 minutes by bicycle. Infinite Studios next door holds Jentan’s Kitchen, Grains and Co and Incubaker. The Mediacorp campus adds Café Melba, Forward Cafe and the Eat Talk food court, Grab’s headquarters has the Makan@Grab food court, and Razer runs its own robotic coffee bar. Soon Huat Bak Kut Teh sits at Alice @ Mediapolis.
Further out, Tanglin Halt Market is 6 minutes by bicycle and The Star Vista 7. Rochester Mall, Holland Village, Dempsey Hill and Orchard Road are all within an 11-minute drive.

Schools near Hudson Place Residences
Tanglin Trust School, a British-based international school, is a 5-minute walk from Hudson Place Residences, which makes this one of the closest private residential addresses to the school. Annual fees there run from roughly $34,770 to $55,734, on top of a substantial placement fee.
Fairfield Methodist School (Primary) and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) are each about 6 minutes by bicycle, and the National University of Singapore around 8 minutes. INSEAD sits nearby on the NUS side. New Town Primary School, Queensway Secondary School and Crescent Girls’ School complete the local network, alongside UWCSEA Dover, Anglo-Chinese Junior College, Singapore Polytechnic and Dover Court International School within the wider education cluster.
For younger children, Rochester Mall a short drive away holds several enrichment and after-school providers, including The Learning Lab, Kindermusik, Da Little Arts School and Thrive After School Sanctuary, with Stellar School of Dance at Fusionopolis.

Greenery, the Rail Corridor and the Future Queensway Node
The Rail Corridor (South) is a 7-minute walk from Hudson Place Residences through the Wessex Estate access point, giving residents a continuous car-free green route for walking and cycling. one-north itself sets aside about 16 hectares of green space for recreation, with one-north Park 4 minutes away by bicycle and Kent Ridge Park 12.
Wessex Estate next door is a cluster of colonial-era black-and-white bungalows standing only two to three storeys, many still leased to working artist studios. It is what gives the immediate neighbourhood its low-rise, creative character, which is unusual this close to a high-tech business district.
The Queensway Node is under construction on the Rail Corridor and is due to open in 2027, adding a sheltered civic space for gathering, culture and everyday community use, and creating a new link between Queensway and one-north. Developer materials place it at about 7 minutes on foot, or roughly 5 minutes by bicycle to the Queensway Community Node itself.
Masterplan Growth around Media Circle
Under URA’s Draft Master Plan 2025, greater one-north is planned to take around 11,000 new homes, of which roughly 5,000 are private homes in Mediapolis, the precinct immediately around Hudson Place Residences.
The Dover-Medway neighbourhood next door accounts for about 6,000 new public and private homes in its first phase, on land rezoned from Reserve and Education use to Residential, closely connected to the National University of Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent). Parts of Singapore Science Park have separately been rezoned from Business to Residential under the same update.
Media Circle itself, the land this development sits on, has been rezoned from business use to Mixed-Use, meaning residential with commercial at the first storey. That is the land use Hudson Place Residences already occupies, and it marks the area’s shift from a purely commercial district into a genuine live-work-play precinct.
